A major challenge facing the Hell’s Kitchen community is the scarcity of affordable, fresh produce. In Hell’s Kitchen, 7-14% of people reported that they consumed NO fruit or vegetables the previous day.

HKFP is offering a solution. We donated our produce to the food pantry in order to get more fresh vegetables into Hell's Kitchen, especially to our neighbors in the most need. Making fresh produce is the foundation of our project and continues to be a driving force in our mission.

 

​All produce grown on the farm goes directly to the Rauschenbush Metro Ministries Food Pantry, adding fresh greens and vegetables to its weekly food distribution. During the 2025 season, nearly 500 lbs of produce was distributed at the Food Pantry.
