Join the Hell’s Kitchen Farm Project Summer Internship!

 

 

Are you an NYC high school student interested in sustainability and food justice? Do you want to get PAID to learn how to grow veggies, care for bees and other pollinators, and advocate for food justice in your community? Are you eager to meet other young people who care about people and the planet?

​

During your HKFP Internship you will: 

  • Help care for a rooftop garden and apiary (aka beehives) that provides food for a community food pantry

  • Go on field trips to visit other urban farms and green spaces around the city

  • Visit a working farm in New Jersey and help with a day’s harvest

  • Learn about ways we can build a better food system that benefits everyone, especially food workers, BIPOC, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

  • Gain important job skills such as workplace safety, food preparation and handling, hospitality, and team building

Dates: Wednesdays & Thursdays, July 10 - August 16, 2024.*

 

*In addition to weekly Wednesday & Thursday hours, interns will have to get in 8 additional hours that will be assigned after admission to the program.

 

Time: 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

 

Cost: None.
